Do I have to go to the Chiropractor my whole life?
Do I have to come my whole life to the chiropractor? That's a pretty good question and it's a question that a lot of people ask.
Of course you don't. It's your life and you can choose to do whatever you want to do. But a lot of people do choose to come to the chiropractor regularly throughout their life, as a part of their natural lifestyle choices. As they get a lot of benefits and it really depends upon what your goals are and what you want to get out of your health. So if you're someone who knows that the body is pretty intelligent you see that everything is connected and you want to be as healthy as possible in a natural way. Then it makes sense, when you eat healthy that you do some sports, you know you sleep well, you take care to not work too hard, not to stress yourself out and also that you constantly get your nerve system tuned up or optimised to make sure that those stresses of life aren't affecting you too much.
That's for example why I get checked by my chiropractor once every week. Not adjusted every week, but you know checked by my chiropractor every week just to make sure I'm functioning closer to my optimal health. It's also why a lot of people choose to do that, now the key is to find some sort of frequency or regularity that still keeps your body above your stresses. If you've got like a really stressful job and it's really weighing you down, it's putting this much pressure, maybe you need to come a bit more frequently.
If you're really relaxed, there's not a lot going on in life, it's really chilled out and easy, maybe that's when you want to be visiting the practice you know once a month. But what we find in general for people who are quite busy, who are living a modern lifestyle, once every two weeks seems to be the optimal way of keeping the person not just kind of static, but actually keeping them improving and growing.
Because actually the stresses that you have in your life they're not necessarily negative if you can adapt and grow from them. They can actually be the food, that turns you into a really strong person. Talk to your chiropractor about it. You know we're all about letting people know what we do, but it's also about what you want, what your goals are and we are working for you to try to help you reach your very best goals.
So talk to your chiropractor about it and we'll see you soon. Cheers :)
